Superhero Cape Giveaway from Babypop Designs

My boys are already convinced that they are superheroes. Or perhaps the bad guys that superheroes fight...

Either way, they love to play pretend.

So, of all the packages we've received so far, the superhero capes and masks from Babypop Designs has been their absolute favorite.

Sherry Aikens is the creator of Babypop Designs. I already knew from meeting her at different conferences that she is a fabulous person. But, now I know she is a fabulously creative person as well. Her capes have even been seen on Good Morning America.

Each cape is individualized: you can pick the cape color, the logo and its color, as well as the letter and its color. Capes are reasonably priced at $17.  They are well-made and durable. My boys received their capes almost two weeks ago and they have worn them every single day.
Don't they look like they are off to save the world? Or maybe cause some trouble.

Masks, Superhero gloves, t-shirts, Superhero Princess costumes, adult capes, and even capes for your child's favorite stuffed animal and your pet are all available from Babypop as well. Child Superhero Capes are recommended for ages 2-7.

While all of the above pics are of my boys as superheroes, I thought I'd share this pic of what a Superhero Princess looks like- photo courtesy of Babypop:

Adorable, isn't it? So, boy or girl, you can find something fun for your kids from Babypop Designs!

GIVEAWAY: Babypop will send one of you your choice of cape along with a matching superhero mask. Giveaway will close at 3pm ET 11/4. Winner will be selected randomly and notified via email. If your email is not visible in your profile, you must leave it with your comment. Winner will have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be selected. US only.

Mandatory entry: Visit Babypop Designs and tell me what cape you like best!

Additional entries: Please leave a separate comment for each entry.

I was sent capes and masks to review. No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

Aerobie Skylighter Flying Disc Review and Giveaway

My boys love to play outside. All day long if they could.

But, the especially love to play outside at night- they feel like they are getting away with something since they associate dark outside with bedtime.

So, they were thrilled when we were sent three Aerobie Skylighter Flying Discs- they light up and were made to be used at night!

Though these are recommended for ages 10 and up, my boys still had fun trying to toss these to each other and seeing who could fling theirs the farthest. They also like me to toss one as far as I can and then race to see which one of them can get it first(um, yeah, sorta like playing fetch with my kids.... and btw, the youngest usually wins because he's learned to cheat).

He may be on the ground, but he caught it!

The Aerobie Skylighter is easy to see at night and comes with a long-lasting and replaceable battery.  It has the patented Aerobie spoiler rim design, making it easy for players of all skill levels to throw well.  Of course, while it's fun to play with at night, it can also be used during the day.

You can find these on Amazon or at places like Dick's Sporting Goods, from about $12-15, but I have one to giveaway here, too.

Giveaway: One of you will win an Aerobie Skylighter Flying Disc. US only. Giveaway will close at 3pm ET on 9/23 and winner will be randomly selected. Winner will be notified via email and have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be selected. If your email is not visible in your profile, you must leave it with your comments.

Mandatory Entry: Tell me who would be playing with this disc!

Wonder Wheeler Wide Review and Giveaway

Do you know how much stuff I have to take with me to the beach or places like the soccer field? With three kids, it's no simple feat.

Now that it's soccer season, we need a cooler, snacks, water, sunscreen, bug spray, bandaids, umbrella, chairs, soccer balls, camera, phone, sunglasses, change of clothes, change of shoes, jackets, blankets, toys to keep children who aren't playing at the moment entertained... and a bunch of other things that I'm probably forgetting right now.

Not only do we need to get all of that to the fields, but the three boys have to be there, too. Three boys who still can't really carrying much. AND we have to switch fields to watch different boys play.  Help in carrying all of this does not usually happen.

Though I have found something to make this incredibly easy so that I can even handle all three boys plus their belongings even if my husband has to be on yet a different soccer field during the games.

The Wonder Wheeler Beach Cart has easy roll wide wheels: easy to push on the beach or through the grass. It even works on the wooded path between my boys' soccer fields.

It can hold a 48 quart cooler and has a side pocket for an umbrella. It can carry 4-6 chairs and can handle 100+ pounds.

I really like the large removable tote bag.

The Wonder Wheeler Wide easily folds flat for transport and storage.

This cart will be so helpful for all of those trips to the soccer field, the beach, the pool... any day trips! It is available on 4thbeach.com for $72.95(on sale from $106). They do give special coupon codes to new facebook or twitter followers.

Giveaway: 4thebeach.com is giving away one Wonder Wheeler to one of my readers. US only. Giveaway will close at 3pm ET on 9/23 and winner will be randomly selected. Winner will be notified via email and have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be selected. If your email is not visible in your profile, you must leave it with your comments.

Mandatory entry: Tell me where you would use a Wonder Wheeler.

Organize Your Purse: Purse Perfector Giveaway

I am NOT an organized person. But, this is something that I am trying to change. I'm getting our schedules organized with a little help from the planner that I reviewed yesterday. I'm giving one away, too! Make sure you check it out.

But, now I need help organizing all the "stuff" that I seem to collect.

Back in June, I attended the Type A Parent Conference and received a Purse Perfector with its claims to be "the end of handbag chaos." I thought it was a great idea.  But I didn't try it out right away. I thought oh, someday, I'll  dump all the junk in my purse and get organized.

And then, a few weeks ago, I was scrambling to find my debit card in my purse yet again and my husband sighed in exasperation and handed me his so I could run into the store to grab drinks to take with us to the beach.  As I was leaving, he was muttering something about how unorganized I am.

I got a little red in the face. Both from anger and from embarrassment. Because he was right. I should be able to find my debit card quickly. I should be able to find whatever I need from my purse quickly.

So, I dug out that Purse Perfector and gave it a try.
Be gentle here because I'm going to show you my before and after pics.

Before:

After:

I've actually been able to keep my purse organized in the month that I have been using the Purse Perfector. Something else I love about it is that I can take it out, put it into a different purse, and have everything I need.

I have a spot for my driver's license, credit cards, gift cards, checkbook, coupons, insurance cards, business cards, receipts, pens, and lip gloss. There's even room for my phone and my small point and shoot camera.

You can unzip it on two sides to have a long, thin profile, perfect for a briefcase or you could unzip all the way and have two small Purse Perfectors. I like keeping mine together and having that extra pocket in there to fit my checkbook.

Here's a view of the dimensions of the medium-sized Purse Perfector: the one I have and the one that's up for grabs in this giveaway:
The medium Purse Perfector retails for $54 and is available in eight different colors. It's made in the USA and is machine washable.  You can find Purse Perfector on facebook

GIVEAWAY: One of you will win a medium Purse Perfector in the color of your choosing.

Open to US only, this giveaway will close at 9pm ET on 8/28.  Winner will be notified via email and have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be chosen. If your email is not visible in your profile, please leave it with your entries.

Mandatory Entry: Leave a comment telling me why you need help getting organized!

Busy Body Book: Organization Help for Moms! Giveaway

As the school year was getting closer, I started to realize all that my family was going to have going on. And that it was going to be up to me to keep it all straight and get everywhere where they needed to be, when they needed to be there, and with what they needed to have.

  • 3 boys in 3 different school with 3 different schedules, 3 different lunch/snack issues... field trips, special days, etc
  • weekly speech therapy
  • weekly OT
  • 2 different soccer teams
  • storytime
  • Karate, gymnastics, Boy Scouts (things my boys are trying to talk me into)
  • random stuff they want/need to do(b/c that covers anything I'm leaving out)
Plus making sure that I have time to grocery shop, blog, and get myself to the gym. I knew I couldn't keep it all straight without some sort of organizer. So, I asked twitter because twitter knows all for some suggestions for planners.

I received a few different responses and looked at all of them. Not only did I need something that would help me stay organized, but I almost needed something that fit my budget.  My friend Melissa from Peanut Butter in My Hair had suggested a BusyBodyBook, a personal and family grid organizer. It seemed to have all I needed AND be reasonably priced (products range from $12.95-17.95).

Photobucket
Oops, I guess I better take my son's birth certificate out of the pocket now that I've shown it to his school. Just noticed that in this pic.

I was planning to order one the next day. But before I could, Joan, the publisher of BusyBodyBook Organizers, contacted me and we talked a little about what scheduling/organization challenges my family had. She offered to send me any one of their products to try out.

I selected the Academic AUG 11 - AUG 12 BusyBodyBook Personal & Family Organizer in Cherry so that I could start using it right away.

You decide if you want to assign each column to a person or to a specific area like "Dinner" or "Blogging" or "Workouts." I love that it's customizable and that there is plenty of room to write in plans for different people/topics.

This week, only one of my children had school and soccer, so it wasn't quite as frantic as it's going to get, but I still had quite a bit to keep track of- including reminding myself that I needed to post this review and giveaway! Once school is in full swing, our schedule will be even busier.

I'm extremely happy with my BusyBodyBook. Thanks, Joan! And thanks to Melissa for suggesting them!

You can download free BBB Weekly Grids to try them out for yourself. Show them a little love and Like them on facebook, too!

GIVEAWAY: One of you will win the BusyBodyBook product of your choice.

Products include: BusyBodyBook Academic Year Calendar, BusyBodyBook Calendar Year, 7 Column BusyBodyBook Undated Weekly Grid Pad, and a Weekly Wall Calendar.

Open to US only, this giveaway will close at 9pm ET on 8/28.  Winner will be notified via email and have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be chosen. If your email is not visible in your profile, please leave it with your entries.

Labels for Back-to-School: Mabel's Labels Review and Giveaway

This year, I have back-to-school shopping lists for three boys! All of my kids will be in school in just a few short weeks. Don't be too jealous as this only amounts to approximately 6 hours per week that I will have a kid-free home.

I have a hard enough time keeping their things straight just in our house. They take stuff to school and who knows where everything will end up.  Because kids lose things.

Which is why I have a total love affair with Mabel's Labels: Labels for the Stuff Kids Lose!®

Last year, we used Mabels for all of my boys' school supplies, backpacks, shoes, sweatshirts, jackets, anything that I thought huh, that might end up not making it back home.

We also have sets with our last name on them that I attach to items like tupperware container and beach toys.

Mabel's Labels was kind enough after I begged and said that I absolutely need more for this school year to send one of their Ultimate Back-to-School Combos for each of my boys.

The combo includes 50 Tag Mates(washer and dryer safe), 40 Skinny Minis(dishwasher and microwave safe), 16 Shoe Labels, and 2 Teeny Tags.  It's enough to send your child to school confident that their belongings will stay out of the lost and found!

The Ultimate Back-to-School Combo is only available thru September 30th.  If you hurry and get it today(July 31st), it's $39. After today, it's $42.

You can see more of their products on their site or on Mabel's Labels facebook page.

Giveaway: One of you will win a an Ultimate Back-to-School Combo! Open to US and Canada, this giveaway will close at 9pm ET on 8/8.  Winner will be notified via email and have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be chosen. If your email is not visible in your profile, please leave it with your entries.

Required Entry: Visit Mabel's Labels and leave me a comment telling me which design you like the best.

What's Your Personality? Fun New App

Thank you to Karizmac Luminous for sponsoring this review. For more information about Karizmac Luminous please visit http://www.karizmac.com/luminous.html.

I love taking personality tests. Because I feel like I know myself pretty well at this point in my life(34 next week, baby!) and I like to see if personality tests get it right.

The Karizmac Luminous app for the iPhone and iPad is geared towards women and has you respond to a variety of statements: either agree or disagree. It then tells you what each statement says about you.

For example, I replied "Agree" to "You must stand by your man even when you don't agree with him," which implies "support" and then it tells me that Laura Bush thinks like me.

To "When there's a disagreement, you've got to choose a side," I said "Disagree" which implies "Open-mindedness."

After answering  10 questions in a category, you can then either answer 10 in a different category or you can view your results to see what your answers say about you. You get a star map like the one below, which you can share on facebook, send in an email, or save to photos.

Here is one of mine:

On your screen, you pinch and pull the stars to be able to see your personality traits up close.  For example, if you zoom in on one of my stars in "Social Intelligence," it says "Cleverness."  Other words used to describe my personality are flexibility, tenacity, assertive, relaxed, dedication, and defiant wait, I don't want to admit to that one.

I like having an app that is actually for me instead of something to keep the kids entertained. Especially because I get bored with the games that entertain my kids.

One thing that I was not a fan of was the music that went along with the app. It's kind of New Age-y and I assume supposed to be relaxing. I turned off the music.  But, that could just be my own preference- my boys make enough noise that I tend to like silence.

Due to the size of the app, you have to download it via computer and then upload it to your phone.  But, Karizmac is aware of this and is working on polishing the app so it’s perfectly down-loadable by phone soon.  Not a big deal, but just something to be aware of.

Karizmac Luminous is a fun app for only $1.99.  Check it out! And then tell me I'm not the only one who has a little bit of defiance in her personality.

While Karizmac Luminous provided me with the app to review, the opinions I've expressed here are solely my own and represent my honest viewpoint. Karizmac Luminous, Clever Girls Collective and I promote Blog With Integrity.

When a Girl Has Nothing to Wear

First, let me just say that this is in no way a sponsored post.  It's also in no way about being nekkid.

I pretty much live in sundresses in the summer. Casual things that I can toss over my swimsuit to head to the pool or the beach. Or to wear around in this obnoxious humidity.

But, I go for the $10-20 specials from Target, Old Navy, and any sundress sale I happen to see.

So, when I need something fancy, like for a summer wedding, I'm kind of stumped. I don't have fancy dresses. And I hate the idea of spending money on them because I'll wear them once and then they'll just go to waste in my closet. Even if, like these past two weekends, I have two weddings to go to, one right after another. Because if I see some of the same people at both, I want to be wearing something different each time.

But, it's just not practical for me to go on a crazy shopping spree.

Enter Rent the Runway.  I feel like I should say TA-DA!!!! after that.

On Rent the Runway, you can choose from tons of designer dresses and YES, rent them.  They rent the dresses out for 10% of the retail value. You can choose to have the dress come a day or two before your event.  The day after your event, you put the dress(es) in the prepaid shipping package they include and drop it in a mailbox and you're done. No cleaning necessary.

I rented a dress from Rent the Runway for my bil's wedding last week and another dress for a wedding this past weekend.  They will send you the same dress in two different sizes to ensure a fit- at no additional charge.

Me and Hubs at his brother's wedding. Ignore the hideous pink vest he had to wear as Best Man. My new sil picked that one out.
My dress for bil's wedding. I felt like I was ready for a party on the beach. Or maybe I was just dreaming about running away to a tropical island somewhere.

And at a wedding this past weekend. I also rented that bling on my wrist!
There was a floaty piece on the front of the dress that was blowing around on the beach. Such a fun dress.

Each dress was $50 to rent, though if you aren't sure if you'll like the dress, you can always pick a second dress of equal or lesser value to rent for an additonal $25. I took a chance on these and didn't order a back up, and I ended up loving them. There are many designers to choose from, but apparently, I'm a Halston girl. Who knew?

Dress rentals start at $50 and go up from there, depending on the retail value of the dress that you select.  You do have to sign up to view the site, but it's free to sign up. Be sure to check out the deal emails they send out- I got $50 off a rental of $75 or more, which is why I rented that bling-y bracelet to go along with that second dress.

I will definitely rent from them again whenever I have an event to go to. I love the idea of getting to wear a fabulous runway dress that I'd otherwise not be able to afford. And it's a fun way to add something to your wardrobe... even if it's temporary!

Mommy and Me Monday at Really, Are You Serious?
Linking with Krystyn at Really, Are You Serious? because I've included pics of me and one of my "babies." The husband kind counts as much as the kid kind.

*I was not asked to write this post and received nothing for writing it. I just think it's such a fabulous site that I wanted you all to know about it! *SIGH* I figured out tonight that I actually have a referral link for this. And if you sign up through it and end up renting, I'd get a $20 code. Oh well. At least you know that I really do love this and wasn't just trying to get credit on the site.

Hapari Swimsuit Review and Giveaway

It is HOT down here in the South. My boys and I spend a lot of time at the pool, trying to stay cool.

Yes, I have to wear a swimsuit. SIGH.

Last summer, I discovered Hapari International LLC swimsuits.  And for the first time in many years, I found a swimsuit that I actually liked.

Hapari has women's swimwear and tankinis that are both adorable and practical.

I currently have this one, which is on clearance right now:

I love that you can wear the straps three different ways: halter, tank, and crisscross. I also like that the top is long enough that my mommy tummy isn't going to be peeking out. That really doesn't need to see the light of day.  Plus, there are pockets in the top for silicone inserts or Hapari's "Illusions" if you are like me and like to have a little something extra added to your top.

You have your choice of bottons: regular, hot shorts, or tummy tuk.  I have the tummy tuk bottoms and they really work: no muffin top in these bottoms!  I ordinarily would go right for the size medium bottoms but I did find that I had to size down in Hapari bottoms. SCORE. There is information on Hapari's sizing page for both tops and bottoms.

This suit stays in place, which is so important since I'm chasing three little boys around the pool or at the beach.

There are new styles out this year and this one is my favorite- can't wait to wear it!

Giveaway: One of you will win an $85 gift card to Hapari for the swimsuit of your choice. This giveaway is open to US addresses only. If your email is not visible in your profile, you must leave it with your comment(s). Giveaway will close at 9pm ET 6/26. Winner will be contacted via email and have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be selected.

Mandatory Entry: Visit Hapari.com and then leave a comment here telling me which is your favorite swimsuit.

Additional Entries: Mandatory entry must be completed first. Please leave a separate comment for each thing that you do.

*Tweet this giveaway and leave the direct link to your tweet in your comment (one tweet only, please)

My review comes from my experience with a Hapari swimsuit I received last summer. I will be receiving a gift certificate for a new one after posting this giveaway. All opinions are my own.

Cube Dog App Review

Thank you to Cube Dog for sponsoring this review. For more information about Cube Dog please visit the Facebook page or download it on iTunes.

I've become somewhat of an app addict since getting my iPhone a few months ago. If an app will keep the kids entertained, I'm all for it. And if it's something that I can play with, too, that's even better!

The Cube Dog app is super cute!  Big plus in my book: it's FREE right now. You use this app to create your own 3D cube dog: you choose the different body parts and colors.  You can rotate and zoom in on your dog.

My boys have figured out how to play around and make the dog chase a ball and be a ninja dog. I'm hoping this cute 3D dog will keep them from asking for a real live dog. Cube dogs are much easier to take care of.

You can also take pics with your cube dog.  We tired our cube dog out by having him jump on the trampoline, play in the sandbox, and ride the coaster with the boys.  Though he looks a little scared of the coaster, doesn't he?

It's super easy to figure out and fun, too!  Watch this video to see more about the Cube Dog:

The Cube Dog app is compatible with the iPhone and iPod touch 4 with camera.  Check it out!

Be sure to visit the Cube Dog Facebook page for a fun contest they will be running June 13-17.

While Cube Dog provided me with the app to review, the opinions I've expressed here are solely my own and represent my honest viewpoint. Cube Dog, Clever Girls Collective and I promote Blog With Integrity.

Freschetta Review and Giveaway

My boys are pretty predictable when it comes to their lunch choices: their variety usually comes from their dinner.

But, what if I don't want what they want for lunch? Freschetta By the Slice pizza is a great option!  You can make this single serving pizza in the microwave in just minutes.

And unlike other microwave pizzas I've tried, Freschetta's crust stays crispy.  I tried the Chicken, Spinach and Mushroom slice and it was so... well... FRESH.  The cheese was especially good: gooey and delicious.

Freschetta By the Slice also comes in BBQ Recipe Chicken, Vegetable Medley, and Six Cheese Medley.  I plan on stocking up on these for those times when it's just me who needs a meal.

Giveaway: Freschetta is giving one of you a chance to win a coupon for Freschetta By the Slice, as well as a three piece storage set.

E-Mealz.com Meal Planning Review and Giveaway

With three little boys who already eat like they are teenagers, I really have to meal plan: trying to stretch our grocery budget and come up with meals that they would like. There's no such thing as just going to the grocery store and grabbing some things for dinner.

But, it was a long process for me: looking for recipes I wanted to make that week, then writing out a grocery list, then crossing off items after I checked my pantry, then rewriting the list according to how items are grouped together in the store to make my shopping trip a little faster.

It worked for us, but it was very time-consuming. I kept thinking I should try a meal-planning service, but I never got around to it.  But, then, I was asked by E-mealz.com to try their meal-planning service.  My verdict:

Make Time For Family - E-Mealz Blog

E-Mealz has over 20 meal plans to choose from for families ranging in size from 2-6.  There are low-carb, low fat, point system, vegetarian, and G-free meal plans, as well as being able to choose from menus based on different grocery stores.

We tried the Walmart Family Plan first.  The grocery list was all ready for me, with notes as to what meals each item was for.  I did shop my pantry first to see if there was anything that I could cross off.  The list was organized by sections of the store and gave the prices, with a total, so that I knew how much I should plan to spend for these seven meals.

According to the shopping list, my total should have been $74.88 and I spent $82.93.  I think I substituted a few brand-new items instead of using a generic recommended.  But, less than $83 for seven meals was still a great deal.  Plus, we had plenty of leftovers, so this actually stretched into more like 12 meals for us.

As for the recipes themselves, they were very easy to make: the directions for all 7 meals fit on one printed page(some weeks' plans take a page and a half). I hung the plans on my fridge for easy reference.

It was so nice not to worry about what was for dinner or if I had everything that I needed.  I also tried the vegetarian menu, as we like to have a few meatless meals each week.  The low-carb menu has a mix of these choices, too.

I wish I hadn't waited so long to try a meal planning service- E-Mealz really did make this process so easy!

GIVEAWAY: One of you will win a 3 month subscription to E-mealz!  Giveaway will close on 4/16 at 9pm ET and winner will be notified via email. If your email is not visible in your profile, you must leave it with your entries. Giveaway winner will have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be selected.

Nutella for Breakfast? Sure, Thanks to MommyParties

I'd heard a lot of talk about Nutella on twitter- mostly from people who seem to love it. But, I had never tried it until recently.

MommyParties sent me a party pack with Nutella samples and coupons, tumbler mugs, nutella spreaders, breakfast tips and other info cards for guests, as well as a jar of Nutella to use in recipes.

The idea behind this MommyParty was that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and that a little Nutella could encourage your kids to eat breakfast. A little, like 1-2 tablespoons.  I wouldn't just hand my kids the jar of Nutella and let them have at it.

A little Nutella on a whole-grain waffle or English muffin might make them more likely to eat their breakfast: you can then top the Nutella with fresh fruit.

Another idea, one that I made and shared, is to spread a whole wheat tortilla with Nutella and then put fruit on it and roll it up. Dried fruit like cherries and apricots were suggested, but I tried it with fresh strawberries and it was a hit!

I've also made Nutella cookies- not that this has anything to do with breakfast, but they are SO GOOD.  Another way to enjoy Nutella is with pita chips. Someone on twitter suggested cinnamon sugar pita chips, but I used salted one and love the combination of the salty and the sweet.

Just a few facts about Nutella:
  • There are more than 50 hazelnuts in one jar of Nutella spread
  • Nutella does not contain peanuts or peanut ingredients, nor does it come in contact with peanuts during manufacturing.
  • Nutella dos not contain any ingredients derived from gluten containing cereal

Have you tried Nutella? What do you think of it? How do you use Nutella?

You can click here to get a $1.00 off coupon for Nutella.

Thank you to MommyParties for sending me a Nutella party kit. All opinions are my own and I was under no obligation to blog about this.

Just Dance 2 Review and Giveaway

I had never been much of a video game person until we got a Wii and then I became slightly addicted.

My favorite game for a long time was Just Dance.  It was fun and a workout!  I even was the co-host of a weekly blog dance-off.  So much fun!  If you've never played, all you have to do is hold the Wii remote in your hand and mimic the moves on the screen- so people who can't dance(*cough, cough* me *cough, cough*) can look a little like we have a clue!

I was excited when Just Dance 2 came out- new songs and even new modes, like one called Just Sweat, which is more of a workout than just playing the game in regular mode.  But, I didn't pick it up- it was just forever on my list of wants.

So, when Just Dance asked me if I would be interested in reviewing it and possibly holding another Dance-off, of course I jumped at the chance!

With new songs and new modes, they kept what I loved about Just Dance, but added to it!  The Just Sweat feature is my favorite, since I'm trying to get back into the workout groove.  But, I also like that you can download new songs, so it doesn't get old.

Another fun mode is Duets, where each player follows a different coach, to do a complementary dance.

GIVEAWAY: One of you will win a copy of Just Dance 2!

Giveaway Rules: If your email is not visible in your profile, you must leave it with your comments. Winner will be contacted via email and will have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be selected.  US only, please.  Giveaway will end on 3/21 at 9pm ET.

Rokenbok Toy Company $130 Toy Giveaway!

My boys love to build things.  Give them blocks and they are happy kids.  A few years ago, we were introduced to Rokenboks.

With Rokenboks, your kids aren't finished playing after they are done building their creation! Rokenbok combines construction with radio control.

The remote control vehicles are tough- so no worries if your kids are rough on toys like mine are.  Really, you need to see this in action to truly appreciate it!

There four different levels of play: Preschool Blocks, Preschool RC, Full Featured (ages 6+), and Advanced(9+).

We were sent the ROK Works Construction and Action Set ($129.99) and the Power Sweeper ($59.99) to review. Both of these are for kids in the 6+ age range.

What I really like about these toys is that this is an activity to do together with my boys.  My oldest took the lead and I guided him through building the first set.  My little boys helped find the right pieces.

Once it was all together, the fun really started for all three, figuring out how the motorized parts worked and how to use the remotes.

You can either follow the directions on how to put the sets together or you can create your own design.  Other sets can be added: you can use the sets separately, or build one big creation!

My boys are already asking for more sets!  Two of them have birthdays coming up soon, so now I know what to suggest when family asks what to get them.

GIVEAWAY: One of you will win the ROK Works Construction and Action set!

Orglamix Cosmetics Review and Giveaway: Organic Glam

Have you tried mineral make up yet? I admit, I was a hold out.  No idea why, I guess I can just be stubborn sometimes. ;)

But, recently, I had a chance to try Orglamix Cosmetics.  There are zero synthetic ingredients in these products.  Orglamix believes in both quality and value: you get high quality products, but for less than what you would pay for one of the big brands.  They believe so much in their products that they guarentee you will like them or your money back.

I was able to try three different Orglamix eyeshadows.  As I went to the Orglamix site to check out all the shades, I was a bit overwhelmed! There are 90 different shades, and that is not counting the sets that are available.

You can find some bright, dramatic colors like this Oceano:
All images in this post are courtesy of Orglamix cosmetics.

But, I tend to be a more natural kind of girl, less dramatic with my make up. I know, me not being dramatic with something- you're shocked.

I posted on Orglamix's facebook wall, asking for suggestions for someone with brown eyes who likes a natural look and I received several suggestions. How's that for service? :)

I tried cafe au lait, sweet pea, and champagne toast.  Champagne toast is my favorite- it's very natural looking, yet gives me a little bit of sparkle. Not so much that I'm glittering from across the room, but it gives my eyes a little pop. I'm a firm believer that we can all use a little bit of sparkle. Right on the packaging, it says Orglamix: Organic Glam- and it delivers!

Not only do I like the look, but I like the light feel of the eyeshadows. They last all day long, too!

I'm so convinced by the eyeshadows that I want to try Orglamix's Organic Foundation, too.

Giveaway: One of you will win your choice of 3 eyeshadows from Orglamix. (approximate value: $6.50 for each eyeshadow)

Giveaway rules: The mandatory entry must be completed before additional entries will count.  If your email is not visible in your profile, you must leave it with your comments.  Contest will end at 9pm ET on March 19. Winner will be contacted via email and have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be selected.  US and Canada 18+ only, please.

The Brag Company Bra Bag Review and Giveaway

After going through three pregnancies and nursing three babies, the "girls" need some help.  No more el cheapo bras for this girl because I need more lift and support than that!

So, bras are my splurge, even though I call nice bras a necessity these days.  The last thing I want is for them to get all messed up!

Enter The Bra Bag from The Brag Company!  This case protects your bras from getting dented and creased when you travel.

I reviewed the Maggie Bra Bag because I'm a pink girl, although there are six styles to choose from.  Each bra bag can hold 1-6 bras in sizes up to 36C, plus 32D.  There is also the Bra Bag Buxom, which holds bras up to 36G or 38F cup.

Last weekend, I was travelling so I got to try out my Bra Bag.  It was nice to have all my bras in the same place and know they weren't going to get dented!  The only thing I noticed is that because the size of bra that I wear isn't very big, but my bras are(I'm sure you can figure out what that means), I couldn't fit as many in my case.  Perhaps I needed a Buxom bag.

The Bra Bag is a great way to keep your bras looking nice! And though I didn't get to review one of these, I wanted to tell you about The Brag Company's Panty Packs, which have separate sides for "clean" and "not so clean," just because I think they are such a fabulous idea!

Giveaway: One of you will win a Bra Bag from The Brag Company, valued at $49.95!

To enter: Mandatory entry must be completed or additional entries will not count.  If your email is not visible in your profile, you must leave it with your entries.  US only, please.  Giveaway will close on March 12, at 9pm ET.  Winner will be contacted via email and have 48 hours to respond or new winner will be selected.

Mandatory entry:  Visit The Brag Company and tell me which style of Bra Bag you would like if you win.

Additional Entries:  Please leave a separate comment for each entry.

Hallmark Interactive Storybuddy Review and Giveaway

When I was at Blissdom, I won an Interactive Storybuddy from Hallmark.  My boys LOVE this thing!

The one I won is Cooper the Bear. As you read the storybook to your children and Cooper, when you say certain phrases, Cooper responds.

My boys' faces lit up when they heard Cooper talking.  They've also figured out what some of the phrases are that Cooper will respond to and will say them to him, even when we aren't reading the story.

You can see a little bit of how he works in this short video clip.  Yes, I'm in my pajamas...it was bedtime!

There are two more Cooper books right now besides the one that we have and Cooper says more phrases with each book: my boys want the other books! Also, there are iPhone/iPad apps for the Storybuddies...I really need to get one of those one of these days!

There is also a Watson the Raccoon Storybuddy with his own set of books. More Storybooks and Storybuddies will be released throughout the year.

These interactive storybooks are a great way to keep your children engaged in storytime.

WIN IT! One of you will win a Cooper Storybuddy with an Interactive Storybook from Hallmark.

To enter:  If your email is not visible in your profile, you must leave it with your comment(s).  Winner will be notified via email and have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be chosen.  US only, please. Giveaway will end at 9pm ET on 2/26.
