Yandy.com Halloween Costume Review

I'm so excited that Halloween is just around the corner! I love finding costumes for my kids and for ME, too!

Going trick-or-treating with the kids is a blast, but I also like going to Halloween parties for adults-only, where I can have a little bit more fun with my costume. I don't have to be "mom," I can just be me...or actually, since it's Halloween- I can be whoever I want to be! Leave the frumpy sweats or standard jeans and tee behind and dress up!

I had the opportunity to review a costume from Yandy.com.  So, I searched their many, many, many costumes! They  have costumes that range in price from about $12 to $177. I found a lot in the $30-50 range, though, which is about where my budget usually falls when I'm looking for a costume for myself.

I had a slight flashback to my younger days of wishing I could be a princess and thought this costume was pretty:

But, I could just see Hubs rolling his eyes at that one. Besides, I was trying to stay within the budget I was given to shop and this one was out of that range, at $141.95.

I seriously considered being Tinkerbell. The costume lights up, comes with the wings, wand, tiara, and rope belt. I must have a fixation with tiaras, huh? And at $51.95, it was reasonable.

I thought of throwing my hair up on top of my head in a bun and being ready to go! But, I was a little worried about a dress that I knew would be short and the material being so form-fitting. I'm a worrier like that. Or maybe I just didn't want to have to invest in any sort of fat-sucking-in garment.

Since Yandy has thousands of costumes, I decided I had better narrow down what I thought I might want or I would end up searching and searching among all the costumes for hours- flapper girl, pit crew vixen, baseball player??? There were so many choices!

I decided that I wanted something that A. did not show my belly, B. was either pants or shorts instead of a skirt/dress and C. something that I could get away with wearing as I took my boys trick-or-treating.

And, so, I decided on this:

I'm a referee every day, anyway! The outfit itself is one piece and the belt and socks are included at $38.95. I love it. I feel cute and sexy in it.

In case you are wondering how I think this is appropriate for a mom to trick-or-treat in, I'll tell you my secret. I'm going to wear a tank top underneath it so that the top is not as revealing and then put on a pair of black yoga pants over it. Until after we get the kids home from trick-or-treating. Then, they'll stay home with the babysitter, and I'll remove the tank and yoga pants and be ready to go to a party with my husband!

Yandy has so many costumes for you to choose from! If you are looking for a costume for yourself for Halloween this year, I would recommend checking them out!

That's a pretty sexy ref costume! Bet the hubby likes that! This year I am limited on what I can dress up as (sexy anyways, or rather not so sexy) since I will be almost 7 months pregnant on Halloween! My BFF painted her belly like a pumpkin one year. LOL!
Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year! I'm getting excited.

Ooh, I love it! Although, you had me at "Pit Crew Vixen"....

Smart idea for the kid-friendly version. I love a grown-up costume party, but the last one I went to, I was a pregnant black cat. :(
