Easy Way to Get Straight Hair!

I have thick, coarse, rather crazy hair. It's not naturally curly, but it's naturally weirdly wavy. And because there's so much of it, if I do not flat iron it to within an inch of its life, my hair looks like a gigantic frizzball. We're talking 80s kind of crazy hair here.

So, when I was given the chance to try Garnier Fructis Style Sleek & Shine Blow Dry Perfector, 2-Step Smoothing Kit, I was so excited. But, also, incredibly skeptical because nothing really works that well on my hair. Some things will tame it a little, but it still takes lots of time and effort on my part to not look like Medusa.

You have to shampoo your hair but NOT condition it(yikes, I was nervous about this- I need conditioner). Then, using the gloves that are provided, apply the 20-minute Smooth-it Serum, making sure to work it through your hair. For thick or resistant hair, they recommend leaving it in for 30 minutes, so that is what I did.

I was a little concerned about the smell. It's not as strong as when you get a perm, but it is a little stinky. But, since this is a process that is supposed to last 7 shampoos, you have to expect something.

As I was rinsing it out of my hair, I was starting to get worried. Because my hair felt a little straw-like.

But, then, I put step 2 on my hair: the heat-activated perfect-it cream(you might not need all of this and can reuse it the next time you dry your hair). My hair felt nice and smooth.

This product is heat activated, so you do need to blow-dry your hair. If you decide you want to wear your hair natural, just let it air-dry.

I could not believe how smooth and straight and shiny my hair was. And I didn't even have to flat iron it. I don't usually get results this good from using my flat iron!

I have shampooed my hair 5 times since I tried this product and it is still working! I can feel the difference in my hair as I'm washing it.

It has made the time that it takes for me to do my hair a whole lot shorter. And stopped me from getting frustrated and just tossing my hair up into a bun because I didn't have time to do my hair.

High praise from me: I will be buying this product soon and using it on a regular basis.

There are a few warnings, like you need to wait 2 weeks after applying permanent haircolor, bleach, highlights, or perms. It may not be as effective on hair that is extremely curly. Please check the package for additional precautions.

I received this product for free from BzzAgent. While they do expect that I would talk about their product, a blog post was not required, nor was a positive opinion. I just love it so much that I had to share!

Click HERE to get a coupon for $2 off! (I've seen it advertised for $10-12)

I'm in!! I have exactly the same type of hair and flat iron it every.single.day. So if the product works as well as you said, I'd happily pay $12 to not have to flat iron it!!

That sounds awesome. Living in Florida my hair frizzes even after flat irons and product. No joke. I'll definitely have to give it a shot!

I cannot wait to try this. I have a tendency to get "Barbados Monica" hair (if you ever watched Friends, you know what I am talking about) and my husband just asked me the other day after I came home from school having recess duty in 98% humidity why my hair wasn't smooth, although I wanted to drop kick him, he had a good point!

My wife is in Bzzzzzzzzzzzz Agent too and she got this as well and liked it, I think. But I really don't talk to her about her hair products, so I don't know.

I wish I would have gotten in on this one in time but I missed out. Love the Bzz BTW I did however get a coupon thru them for it.

I have been wanting to try it but haven't gotten around to it yet. I don't have curly hair but I do have alot of wave to it and MUST blow dry and flat iron it to get it nice and straight.

Thanks for sharing, I don't usually pop in on reviews but so glad I did on this one, I have the same sort of hair, wavy wavy, dry, course and not thick but a lot of fine hair. I spend way too much time on blow drying and flat iron so I'm going to try this out!

Um, so I meant to write more than that!

I had NO idea about this stuff! I have a straightening iron but honestly don't use it much anymore since it's such a chore. I'll have to try this!

I'm with you on the thick, coarse mess. My friend Lisa decided I have horse hair. She is all too correct.

So glad you found something that worked this well for you! I'm pretty lazy so I don't know if I have patience for this, but it does help to know someone with similar hair has gone before me.

I'm trying it tonight! I have ridiculously thick, wavy hair that is pretty coarse. I can't wait, I hope it works for me! Also, just to let you know, I found it for $10.99 at Target, which works out to be a pretty sweet deal with the $2 coupon!
