They Don't Always Make Me Crazy

105 heat indexes this week means that my kids are stuck inside. No way are we heading out to play in this heat.

But, when my boys are all together with no breaks from each other, and I'm trying to get some work done and blog, too, of course, there is a general air of crankiness.

Can't they ever get along? And can't they stop making me totally crazy?

But, then I remember that they can be sweet. And I do love my kids.

And I remember when they were this tiny:

Monkey 19 months and Bear 2 months

Cub 2 months

And I realize how fast time flies and how important it is to enjoy this time with my boys.

Even when they make me want to pull my hair out.

My big boys now

P.S. If you linked up for Rockin' the Baby, please check the linky and make sure your post is there. There were some slight problems with it yesterday. Don't forget you have thru July 18th to link up.

It goes even faster, in the next few years! Love every second -- but, Lordy, I hate this heat. We finally had a break and the temp dropped down to Parka weather (88 degrees! lol) Come visit when you can.

I think siblings fighting is the classic summer frustration. I can remember my brother and I physically fighting to the point we would have each other pinned on the ground. Terrible! What I look at is that we get along great now. I live in AZ, so I've gotten used to letting my kids play outside in 105, but I could imagine that it must be miserable to have them cooped up when they are not used to the heat. Good luck for the rest of the summer.

My girls have just started fighting, and they're already driving me to drink..... MORE!
I look at pics of them when they were all kissy and huggy and think of how sad it is...
They still have good moments, and they make up for the bad ones..
You have 3 though,, I can't imagine how much more 3 fight!!
I also have to say that CUB is the cutest thing I have ever seen!!!
Good luck this summer!!
And remember,, let them get it out of their systems now...
As long as they don't fight as adults, we'll be okay!!

Yup. I hear you. I sometimes find myself counting the days until school starts. Then I take a step back and realize that time IS short. And they ARE good kids. And I AM very, very blessed. ps - love the pics!

I've purposely put a photo of my girls as babies in their bedrooms recenly. Not for them to see but for me. This way, when I'm marching them to their rooms for a time out I am reminded of when they were angels ;)

It's always nice when they're being sweet to each other, isn't it? I just wonder what the thought process is behind "I'm going to stick my fingers in my brother's mouth and...DAD! He bit me!"

Time does fly! I need to keep reminding myself of that when my kids are fighting over who gets to sit by me and all I wanna do is be alone. And then Paige crawls all over me and drives me nuts, but I know one of these days she won't want to cuddle with me or give me kisses anymore and it is going to suck.

I wish we could bottle it up when they are all sweet and cuddly so we could pull it out and have a drink when they aren't.

They were darling as babies!! I can't imagine the chaos of being stuck inside all day though (it's our 12th day in a row of triple digit highs in Texas - makes me long for winter!)

Such precious boys!!! My sister just moved and she said that her boys are in their jealous phase. They're 1 and almost 2. Luckily, the weather hasn't been too bad but since they're new to the neighborhood it's hard to know where to go!!! I'll pray that you get some rain, or relief from that heat!!! That's awful!!!

It is soo hard to remember those times. My two youngest are constantly fighting. Sometimes I think they fight simply to fight. It's rough. Plus there is 5 years between them. Makes it even harder.
