What's Your Song?

I can't sing.

Not even a little bit.

But, music speaks to me.

Certain songs take me right back to a memory from long ago. Other songs make me cry every time I hear them.

And then there are songs that make me smile, make me sing, make me dance.

So, I'm joining in with Goodnight Moon today to share one of those types of songs.

With lines like "Sunshine gonna wash my blues away" and "the only worry in the world
is the tide gonna reach my chair," I am loving "Knee Deep" by Zac Brown Band. If you haven't heard it before, take a listen:

You have to smile when you listen to it, don't you?

What song are you loving right now?

I can't sing at all! The only time I sound "really good" is when I am in my car all alone with the music so loud I can't even hear myself.

I'm kind of lovin' anything Josh Turner right now...

Great pic.

The song that makes me smile the most is Ayer by Flo Rida. Only because my kids sing it with all the wrong words and they go back and forth, sharing the turn at singing and it just absolutely makes me smile.

I am not familiar with Zac Brown band. I know, what's wrong with me? But that is a fun song! I do love Kir's choices above. Those are 2 of my favorite songs right now. I can't really think what my feel good song is right now. I know this sounds weird but I love belting out Rolling in the Deep by Adele. Paige loves to sing it along with me too! It gets all of my frustrations out. I guess that could be my feel good song. I swear that it is always on the radio here. Bulletproof by La Roux. is a good song too. I did a dance in a vlog once to it. =)

I feel like I have the same connection to music. It can make me so happy or make me cry. I am not too bad of a singer but really I wouldn't care if I wasn't! LOL!

I love Zac Brown Band. They always have great summer songs. I'm also loving Jason Aldean's "Dirt Road Anthemn." But my all time favorite song is Meatloaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light".

We turn music on every morning once we are all up. It seems to start the days off in a much happier place.

Hmmm...I'm totally loving Jason Aldean's newest song, but can't for the life of me think of the name of it. The one where he sings about riding the dirt roads? It gives me a little piece of home in Alabama since we are so FAR away from anything resembling a dirt road.

I have been loving Lada Gaga lately...her songs are just so peppy and I need that. I love Pink's Perfect (I think that's the name)...it speaks volumes to me right now!

I am with you girl on the songs taking you back. I love that I can relate so much to a song. Might not know the words completely but the song takes me back immediately.

I love ZBB's "Where the Boat Leaves From." That's my happy song.

My husband likes to annoy me by singing the Chris Brown song, "Look at me now. I'm getting paper" song when it comes on the radio. I think it's stupid, but him singing it makes me laugh, especially when he changes the words, "Look at her now. Emily's eating paper." Which is often true...
