Back-to-School Giveaway: Green School Supply Kit
For today's Back-to-School giveaways, I wanted to find some green alternatives, so be sure to check them both out.
I found Rebinder, the only true zero waste office supply manufacturer. I saw so much waste with school supplies when I was teaching- I wanted to see if there was an alternative.
They sent me a Green School Supply Kit to review: unique, stylish, allowing kids to show off their creativity, while supporting the environment.

Oh what a neat package!
We've recycled our papers for a while, but recently decided to go with a digital only subscription. This year we planted veggies, allowing us to eat our own produce. We also started composting, reducing landfill-bound waste and working to improve our own soil quality!
I try to use reusable grocery bags and reusable water bottles.

We Cloth Diaper, use reusable bags whenever possible, recycle/reuse everything we can, use earth-friendly cleaners and pesticides... hmm what else? Use towels, handkerchiefs and washcloths over paper versions

We just started recycling and we are really big on using recycled and all natural items.

Besides the obvious recycling we make sure to use engery effeciant light bulbs, we unplug our cell phone chargers when not in use, we turn off lights/tvs in rooms we are not in, and we limit our shower times.

I would love to show my son that I'm taking care of the planet. I live in a small town so it's been hard to find opportunites to go green, but they have finally installed a recyling
center! I am going to start sorting out our garbage and doing this. He's excited about it too!

I try to recycle everything when possible (we don't have recycling places nearby at the moment) and I do all my landry in cold water.
