Hand of Fate by Lis Wiehl with April Henry

Book description: Hand of Fate: A Triple Threat novel follows the murder of Jim Fate, an outspoken radio talk show host. FBI Special Agent Nicole Hedges, crime reporter Cassidy Shaw, and  federal prosecutor Allison Pierce must work to narrow down the list of people who wanted him dead.

My review: This was both suspenseful and interesting. It's the second in a New York Times best-selling series about these three friends, though I had not read the first. It was written in such a way that you didn't have to read the first to read this one, since each book is about a different case. Though, after reading this one, I want to go back and read the first and will look for others in this series as they come out; that's high praise coming from me!

Also, while this is not what I would characterize as "Christian lit," it's definitely written from a Christian world-view in that some of the characters pray and talk about why things happen. Though, one of the characters does question God due to some things that have happened in her life. The Christian perspective is there, but without hitting you over the head with it constantly. It's more that it's a part of the characters' lives and so comes out that way.
