When We Were Young and In Love

Take note, here, since I'm actually going to be a little mushy-gushy-lovey-wuuvy here.

That's not normally me.

See Romance is Overrated or Not Smoopy-Smoopy to see that I don't usually ooze romance.

I love Hubs, I really do. But, we don't usually get all gushy.

Hubs used to be like that, but I think I broke him.

One night, when we were first dating, he looked at me with this loving look on his face and said in the sweetest voice, "You're just so precious and sweet."

I laughed so hard that I fell off the bed couch that we were on.

But, in honor of Valentine's Day tomorrow, I'm going to give you a little glimpse at the two of us from our wedding and honeymoon, Photobooth Saturday style.

First pic: our wedding day.

Second pic: our bridal portrait session- we actually did this several months after our wedding, since we couldn't find time to squeeze it in before the wedding. It was actually really fun to get dressed up in my wedding gown again, Hubs rented his tux again, we drank champagne, and hung out on the beach. I love those pics more than the ones from our wedding day, because were were just being us together.

Third and Fourth pics: from our honeymoon. *That third pic may or may not be my current facebook profile pic, as if that is what Hubs and I look like now, as opposed to almost 7 years ago.

Weren't we cute?

So young and in love.

Now we're old 7 years older and still in love. ♥

Awww... how "sappy" Just teasing! Love the pictures! I always tell Wayne that I want to get all dressed up in my wedding gown - but he doesn't seem to think it is a good idea. No fun!

Came over from SITS to say happy Saturday Sharefest.

I actually had a guy say he wanted "to make love to me" and I too fell off the sofa laughing. I laughed for ten minutes then he asked why it was so funny. I ended up laughing again for another ten.

Stopping by from SITs. Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest!
Your pics are adorable.
Happy 7 years to you!
My DH and I are not super Sappy either but the love is strong. :)
It will be 9 years of marriage for us next week. 11 1/2 years total. Seems like yesterday we just met.

We were cute, too, and SO much in love. Right now, though, Mr. Fairway & I are in "discussions" over who's cooking dinner Sunday nite. And I can assure you...won't be moi! Snuggled up near you at SITS today. Happy SNOWLESS Saturday!

I also broke my husband of the sappiness. His mom loves to be spoiled, so taught her boys to spoil herself (and in her mind any woman)with "kindness" and gifts. That don't happen no more. Hehe, he doesn't spoil her anymore either :D

Those are cute pictures. :) I've done several photobooth sessions with some friends and they're always so fun and silly. We have one at our mall and the zoo.

I love the photobooth pics. I'd sure love to get my dress out and wear it again. I wonder if it's even in the box sometimes. You know how you send it to be cleaned and put away in the box, well my box has no window in it, so I hope it's in there and it's mine!!

I love that. You laughed at him? Poor guy. But that's what you get.

I had a boyfriend once stare deeply at me for several minutes (which made me itchy) and then say, "You have the most beautiful eyes."

I'm pretty sure I stuck my tongue out at him and made fart noise with my mouth.

It was the right call.

well I LUUUUUUUV your pics!!! I think they are PRECIOUS!!!

I'm just the opposite
I was a cynical, opinionated, hard ass, balls to the wall, don't grope me or touch me or show me ANY affection ESPECIALLY not in public... until I met Preacher T. and now.......
well......
I can't stand to be a room and not be somehow touching him. (I don't mean sickening groping.. just a hand on the knee or something like that)
yes me.
the cold hearted biyaaaatch!
he broke me
he made me squishy!
I can't help it now.
*and I wouldn't change it for the world!* ;-)

OH and PS - love the new look!!!

aaww...those are very nice pictures!

Hubby and I aren't gushy, either. I don't like romance stuff like books and movies. I can't stand them.

We don't celebrate Valentine's, but this year, since he has been away a lot (and probably because he became a dad), he is being all romantic-like and stuff and wants to do something on Valentine's Day--he, my husband wants to celebrate...mmmmmmm...it's so strange, but I'll go along with it.

From my perspective of 43+ years of marriage (to the same guy!), may I just say, "Don't be so anxious to break anyone of "sappy" or "sweet"....for you will surely miss it when its gone....and it will surely go someday! Once gone, it never returns!"
