Pour Your Heart Out: I Don't Want To

Welcome to Pour Your Heart Out- if you need more info on how to participate, check out THIS post. But it's personal- it's what YOU think is pouring your heart out. Please grab the PYHO button or link back in your post if you are participating.

Again, just a brief reminder that everyone linking is pouring their hearts out and we should all be respectful in our comments. ;)

Sometimes, I just don't want to talk about it.

About the things that are stressing me out.

While venting can help and writing things down sometimes makes me see things in a new light, there are times when I just don't want to

Instead, I want to bury my head in the sand or put my hands over my ears and sing lalalalala or smile and pretend it's all okay.

So, that's what I'm going to do today.

It might not do anything to help any of the situations weighing on me.

But, it will get me through the next few days.

And maybe, just maybe, things will get better.

For that hope, I am thankful.

Please note: I'm visiting with family over the next few days. If you don't get an immediate visit or response, know I'll be back next week

I hope you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and you get some much needed downtime.

I think we all do that at one time or another. Tired of their constantly being a new situation to deal with, tired of it being day after day of stress and worry.. so we just ignore it. If only for a day or two so we can catch our breath before leaping back in with both feet.

Hugsies!

(Is hugsies still a thing?)

(Or was it ever a thing?)

(Seriously, anyone? Etymology of hugsies?)

(This might be why I'm not considered great at offering support.)

Hugs to you...or hugsies, if Megan finds out of that's OK anymore ;)

I can really relate to how you're feeling. I think, sometimes, if I talk to anyone about it, I will either sound like a stark raving lunatic, a mean girl, or make it worse. So I hide until I can get through it and reason it all out later.

We all do that from time to time! Sometimes it's easier to just sweep things under the carpet and deal with them at a later time, when we feel more emotionally capable of handling it.

Have a wonderful, joyous Thanksgiving with your family!!!

I understand. Completely. I'll be doing the same thing this Thanksgiving. In fact, I don't even want to put on a happy face; I want to stop hiding behind a happy facade and shout my issues to the world - just get them out there and have it over with. But there's a time and a place. And so I'll just put on that happy face. Blah.
