I'm Guilty

Here are my crimes:

*Reading all the super-nice comments from yesterday about what I wonderful teacher I was when really, I was so strict that a lot of my students probably didn't like me very much. I might have made a difference in some of my students' lives, but I was far from perfect.

*Letting my roots get scary and then mocking the girl at the salon who asked "What do you want done to them?" when I called for an appointment to have my roots done.

*Recording two shows at once on the dvr that Hubs had no interest in watching, so that he had to go into the bedroom to watch tv instead of being able to watch on the "big tv." And then laughing at him when he threw the remote in disgust.

*Watching too much tv. Fall shows are back!

*Falling asleep at an hour that allows me to wake up feeling rested, but makes me feel like a preschooler when I tell someone just how early that is.

*Skipping the gym this week. Even though I just started going last week.

*Not paying the crazy amount for express shipping for my brother's wedding present, even though that means that it might not get there until they are on their honeymoon, instead of before the wedding.

*Getting annoyed with my oldest's kindergarten teacher. Especially because I tend to get up on my former-teacher soapbox and talk about how teachers deserve a chance and that we should cut them some slack. I'm still annoyed.

*Not writing the next part of my steamy story from my crazy early twenties.  Oh, and not really thinking that it was that steamy until after reading your comments.

*Not feeling the slightest bit guilty about leaving my kids with my husband for the entire weekend so that I can go to Type A Mom.

*Not actually being a Type A Mom, but going to the conference anyway. Thinking the jeans and yoga pants I packed will probably give me away.

*Hoping that mil can't help Hubs out with the kids during my weekend away so that he can see what it's like to be me.

Completely guilty. Thinking I should be punished. Maybe there's a mom-prison somewhere. On a tropical island. With lots of naps. And drinks. And no laundry to do. And wi-fi.

Oh yes, send me there.

What have you done? Tell me why you deserve to go to that island escape mom-prison with me.

Psssst..... Please check out the Friends You Love blog for voting on the World's Greatest BFF and a Twitter Party announcement! Oh, and I hope you have been watching for the scavenger hunt clues this week!

Oh Shell, it's totally different when it's your own child. Try getting annoyed at your child's teacher when not only are you a teacher, but she is your co-worker... AWKWARD! :)

Have fun at Type A mom- is it this weekend?

I think that we are all guilty of things like this. Here's one from me....my house is a freaking MESS! And realize when I say a mess....I mean like a mess is piled in EVERY room in my house! Yet here I am...typing away on my computer.

I do the same thing with the DVR. Fox gets so mad at me. But I can't help NOT being able to catch up on a show that I recorded.

Have so much fun at Type A mom...your gonna be awesome!! Yoga pants and all:)

There are very few things here that actually make you guilty. Cut yourself some slack silly. Oh that's right, you are when you get to that prison :D

Wish I could be like you on the sleeping. More people should be like you about sleep.

My boys were arguing yet again yesterday over the stupid Wii, so I very dramatically unplugged everything and packed it in a box and told them I was going to sell it... although I have no intention on doing so. Nah, I guess that doesn't count 'cause I really don't have any guilt. ;)

8:30 is my preferred bedtime, but the new shows on TV kept me up until 10 last night. :/

I deserve to go with you. I told my 18-year-old that if he continued to surf porn in the middle of the afternoon and then went upstairs to take care of business one more time while I am aware of it, I would start having sex with his father in the living room during the time he might come down to fix his lunch for the next day. Yep, send me to mom-prison...

I LOVE the last one.

I am guilty of actually wanting to have more Open Houses at my school just so my husband could more often experience the joy of pick up, drop off, make dinner, bathe, pack lunches, lay out clothes for the five kids.
And one those nights I plan to return home and say, "Why are you so tired?"
I kill me.
I need to go to mom prison too.
(Above commenter cracked me the hell up!!)

I also tend to go to bed ridiculously early - emabarrassingly early (by 9pm).

I get up early though (most mornings) at like 5:45am so I figure that is my excuse.

Okay, so Mom Prison sounds divine. What do I have to do to get thrown in with you?

My most recent crime? Throwing myself the biggest, bloggin pity party ever on my post yesterday. Wow, I knew I needed to vent, but going back now and reading it just sounds pathetic. Guilty!

I was mom guilty for sitting on the computer and watching my tv shows on my DVR while my daughter was doing her homework. It should have only taken her 30 minutes to to read her book and it took her 90 minutes.

What do I feel guilty about?

I just woke up from a nap...and I loved it. I never take naps. I don't know what got into me.

My kids are awake upstairs and I seriously want to wait until Husband gets home from work to bring them downstairs...he hasn't left work yet.

I wasn't able to make it to my Aunt's funeral today b/c of my leg and I really want to be with my family.

I admitted to my physical therapist that my exercises are a lot easier after a glass of wine and then joked about showing up schnockered for my morning appointments...only to have her tell me that she never takes a freaking aspirin much less drinks!

I still think you're pretty awesome though. BTW...speaking of giving teachers a chance...have you watched Oprah this week about that education movie? I'd love to see it...wanna go? LOL

I guess I was lucky, in a sense, because I had an accident that put me in the hospital for a month and a half when my children were very small. My husband had to take over the children and getting them off to the babysitter etc. He came in particularly exhausted, one morning, and actually had the nerve to ask me, "Do you have any idea what it's like to get a two-year-old ready for the babysitter in the morning?" I would have answered him, but I was too busy LMAO.

Ha! Love your list---we might end up in a cell together--bc I am guilty of many of the same things. DVR---thursday night is a killer for us- everything is on Thursday. And I insisted that I get to watch my show- on the big tv--hubs had to go down and sit on an exercise ball to watch his show. The teacher stuff---yes, yes, and yes.... and oh right- I am guilty for barely talking with my hubby this week and today wanting to spend it entirely to myself.
