Now That You Know I Have NO SHAME

You should probably also know that I'm kinda ADD.  I like to pretend that Friday is the only day that I think like this, when really, this is normal for me.

Mommy's Idea

****

Did you know that Friday Fragments have POWER? Last Friday, I said maybe the universe was trying to tell me something. And well, the universe answered. In an email. Wait until you see what I have coming in the mail. Oh, my. *blushes*

****
This Friday, I'll test their power and say that Nintendo should totally give me a Just Dance Wii Game to giveaway after my embarrassing kickass video yesterday. Since, obviously, I have NO SHAME, I emailed them and asked. Doubt it will work, but why not try, right? Like I said, NO SHAME!

****

It looks like Sunday from WYSIWYG is the winner of the Just Dance off! I will hand-deliver her a sort of fabulous prize at Bloggy Boot Camp in Baltimore. There will be a new contest coming soon! PRACTICE, PEOPLE!!!

****

On Sunday, I fell down outside of the movie theater. BOOM. Slipped on some ice and did a cartoon-like flip up and fell smack down on my hands and knees. My knees are still sore, palms a little raw, and my arms ache. I think I should get free movies for life or something. Really, the snow came on Saturday. By Sunday afternoon, they should have taken care of that.
****
My younger brother texted me this week and asked me to check his fiancee's fb page to see when her birthday is. I don't know why, but it struck me as really funny. Future blackmail material.

****
Not that I'm great with dates. I've seen a lot of posts this past week about how long couples have been together. I can tell you our wedding anniversary, but I can't even tell you what month it was that we started dating. I guess it depends on your definition of "dating."

****
Motherbitches: I wasn't down with the whole "hating someone just because you and I are friends and a friend of yours doesn't like a friend of mine for a reason that has nothing to do with us so now I'm supposed to hate her too" thing back in junior high and I certainly am NOT down with it now. What a dumb reason to hate me. There are lots of valid reasons to hate me. Pick one of those instead.

****

I was the room mom for my 3 year old's Valentine's Day party last week. I decorated while the kids were in their music class. When they came back in, Bear said, "Oh, Valentine's Day is BEAUTIFUL!" It was adorable.

****

I love new visitors to my blog, but when you just say "Please visit my blog at blah-blah-blah," it hurts my feelings a little. I read what you write when I visit you, not just tell you to come to my blog. And if you say "Great post! Please visit me @..." I think you are just copying and pasting...  Just sayin'. I really do love new visitors, though!

****

I've decided that my ultimate response to people who think that my family is not complete without having a little girl...despite the fact that we have three children...is to say with an appalled look on my face, "No way. There is only room for one princess in this house and she is me."

****

I'm anxiously awaiting noon so that I can do the next challenge for Supah's Survivor Island. As long as I haven't been voted off. Go, HEROES!

P.S. I'm redoing my scrolly-button thing. If you have my button and I don't have yours, please let me know!

Too funny about your brother forgetting fiancee birthday... they are newly engaged... does that give him a reprive??

Is it someone who hates me???? Are you supposed to hate me??? LOL I know plenty of people who have formed a clan against me ;-)

Get this, I once fell down outside of Walmart because the special pretty rock-like pavement they had was wet and my husband would not let me get up until he had taken pictures (thousands of them I swear) with his cell phone. My butt still hurts just thinking about it.

Hate that people think they know how many of what you need in your family to balance things out. God has a plan, that's what's best.

Heroes on TV are very disappointing. I sure hope they get their act together quickly. I was really cheering on the hero side on Supah's Survivors.

I keep reading blog after blog this week about ppl falling on ice. I feel for you. I took a hard fall last winter. Hope your soreness wears off quickly.

WOOHOO for me!

I totally agree with you on the people who visit and say a quick hi and then ask me to come see their blog.

It sort of makes me want to do the complete opposite.

All three of my children are grown, but I definitely remember all the "drama" the two daughters would talk about from their junior/senior high days. It only seemed to affect them and not the son. And now that I have step-daughters, it seems that nothing has changed. Every day these girls come home from school, and it's drama this, bitch that, she said this, she doesn't like me because........I can't wait until they are out of school. You should have a girl just so you can go through the junior high drama from a parents perspective. HA

OH I am so down with you on the motherbitches thing.. beyond that I left a whole networking site for women simply because of that issue.. My page my friends point blank, dont' start none won't be none.
I loved the Just Dance thing and now have to invest in it. I think it would be a great way to exercise..
I have 3 boys and I too am the Queen of the house, no time to train a princess properly lol.

Totally doing the next Dance Off. I'm serious. And I'm making Leo train with me. Yes, I said train.

Motherbitches. What the hell.

Haha about your brother--now that? Is funny!

I hate it when people ask "So, no boy? When are you going to start trying for that?" It's not like I handpicked the sperm. Asshats.

Go Survivor!! Last nite was good. I think they made a mistake voting out who they did...

Hm. Now I forget what else I was going to write? Oh yeah! I can't stand it when someone writes some totally generic comment. Come on people. I pour my heart and soul out and all I get is a comment about "I'll post your button if you post mine". Whatevs.

Tell people you're planning on going all Octomom next year and surely the odds of having a girl from that would be good. If nothing else you may score some free plastic surgery which is really the goal anyway.

Great post! come visit me at Damaformama. ;)

I hate it more when someone comes by and JUST says, "Visiting from Sits (or wherever) without any comment on what I've written. It's like going to someone's house, ringing the doorbell, jumping back into your car and when they answer shouting out the window, "So great to see you!" and driving away. Or something like that.

There is nothing worse than falling down. Even if you don't hurt yourself, it's so humiliating and demeaning (at least for me - you may be much more graceful than me when I fall).

That's hilarious about your brother ... because it's not just his girlfriend ... it's the person he's planning to marry. So funny!

Also love your note to motherbitches. Seriously. If you're going to hate, do it legitimately.

I am the class coordinator for Brad's class and I helped make smoothies for his Valentine party...but I didn't get the look or the saying of how good it was or looked. Guess he's too old to tell me that kind of stuff. At least I still get a kiss when he gets on the school bus and before bed.

1) I like to think that when I fall down or publicly hurt myself, it makes someone else smile. And for some reason, that makes me smile. Schadenfreude.

2) PET PEEVE. I super-mega-loathe when people leave a comment, shamelessly promoting their own blog. Lazy bastards.

I have two boys and my husband recently got a vasectomy and people were against it because I didn't have a little girl! Like two boys isn't enough?! On my rougher days I can feel my tubes tying themselves.

Women are crazy. And great.

I hope you elbow these people in the appropriate reproductive organs.

I had a boy first, then a girl, and I am forever hearing the comment; "Oh you did it right, you had the boy first! Now you've got one of each and you don't have to worry about it."
WTH?
I don't think I was worried about anything. Best I can recall I was just being careless ... uhhh, leaving it in God's hands.

So let me see if I understand this....your brother knows a woman well enought to ask her to marry him, but he doesn't know her birthday??? Oooo, that doesn't bode well for his remembering things like anniversaries, birthdays, and the like. Maybe it won't matter to her, but I wouldn't tell her for a loooooong time!!

Hahaha, LOVE what you have to say about being the only girl in the fam. Oh man, with my 3 boys and 1 girl, I tell ya, I am SOOOO thankful I have only one girl! There is not enough room for anymore of us in this household. : )

Love this post, love how honest you are. I've missed reading your stuff, I've just been so bogged down with life. : ) Thanks for linking my blog in one of your posts.. that was so sweet of you to mention me. : ) BTW, I'm gonna be redoing my blog design soon too, and will be adding your button. : )

What a good random post! Please check out my blog yours is great!

Ha ha! Just kidding - had to get it in there!

I am still on the fence about trying for a girl, I love my boys but I think I may have to runaway in fear if I got pregnant with another boy! God knows I sobbed for weeks when I found out that Emilio was a boy. I would probably be the unlucky one that would get twins boys or some crap if I tried one more time.

Don't fret about what people say- in the long run, I think boys are easier.

Sorry about your fall. Glad you weren't seriously hurt.

Tell your bro yo get with the times and get on FB himself :-)

I think MOTHERBITCHES just can't handle honesty. And just like you, it's my policy. If you don't want the truth don't ask me. Hell, you don't even have to ask, I offer it regardless! :D

And, was there some reason why your brother couldn't check her FB page himself? THAT IS future Blackmail material!

Wow, 88 comments - I can understand why! So much fodder...

The other day I was stopped by a woman with a mike and a man with a camera (the big ones, you know, for tv?) who proceeded to interview me on what precautions I was taking in the snow and ice. It was the dumbest interview ever. They should have filmed you falling. I love watching people fall. I watch it on youtube all the time.

What kind of people do you know? Who would say your family is incomplete without a girl?? Seriously people.

I like how you call people out (please visit my blog @blah blah). Everybody's so *nice* on the blogs I read, it's good to see a little reality. Though I'm always a little worried that I'm going to somehow be the offender

Coming by way of Friday Fragments ~

Gee, I think I was here last week or the week before. Hope I wasn't the one who just asked you to come by without commenting. If it was me, I really did read, but since my computer time is after the kids are in bed *which is usually quite late* I am totally not responsible for what my fingers say!

Having said that, you do have a cute blog! LOL

Sorry about the fall. That always makes one feel like a goof....even when no one else is around.

Have a good week!

You have quite the sense of humor, my friend; I love that you can laugh at yourself so easily. So glad you weren't seriously hurt when you fell; I can picture the stinging of your hands, and I feel sorry for you.

And while we're on the subject of FB and on making light of heavy subjects, can I just take this space to point out that I have a friend on FB whose updates are nothing but whining and complaining--drives me batty!! (sorry for the random)

Kimberly's comment cracked me up!haha

Thanks for playing FF this week :)
