George Foreman Smart Kitchen Review

I have three kids ages 6 and under. Who, you know, have to eat. A LOT. I'm frightened about what will happen when they are teenagers.

So, I'm always looking for ways for making meals easier, faster, with less clean-up, and of course, keeping things healthy is always good, too.

So, meet my new little buddy.

The George Foreman Healthy Cooking Smart Kitchen Multicooker.

It has a 26 cup capacity, which means that I can cook for my whole family in it and maybe even have some left over. Seriously, you should see my boys eat.

It has this nifty Intelli-Probe™ digital control that has pre-set rice and steam settings, plus a sear setting.

There is a steaming basket, too. Great for veggies.

It has a non-stick coating so that you can cook without oils or butter. Even though we all know I think butter is like its own food group and is my lover. Plus, the accesories are dish-washer safe, which is a bonus for me, since I hate to handwash things with the same passion that I love butter.

The only thing that I'm a little disappointed in is that it didn't come with a book of recipes and I can't find any online yet- I assume that eventually I can find someone online after more people discover this neat gadget. So, I've just tried steaming some veggies and making rice so far. But, I can definitely see the potential for making whole meals in it.

Want to see more info or purchase this Smart Kitchen Multicooker? Visit this link. It is usually priced at $79.99, but is on sale for $39.99(at the time of this posting, anyway!)

I have decided that when they hit the teen years, their appetites submarine - meaning you know they have them (appetites) but you aren't quite sure where they are because they vanish at the table:) LOL

Then, if they are not in the mood for whatever you cook, they hold out until the right thing comes across their plate. It is the college student who finally eats normally:)

I would think not having a recipe book for the product would limit the purchasers understanding of all the things they could do with the product.

In the past two months the amount of food my three consumes has gotten astronimcal!!! They are almost 11 and almost 9 and 4 and 1/2 and seriously they are breaking the budget.

That looks like a fun gadget, but I would totally need the recipe book to get the hang of it.

That thing looks awesome! My inlaws usually get us a kitchen gadget for Christmas... The 'Set it and forget it Rotisserie'? LOVE that thing!!

Hubs would totally make us some kick a** meals in this.

If boys, they start eating like vacuums in their teens; if girls, lettuce and a celery stick will cover their day! I think you definitely need, at minimum, some kind of recipe process book with a new item. But, use it like a stovetop pot. It looks as though you have temperature control dials, is why I'm saying it. If it's just warm medium high then treat it like a slow cooker. But, since it sears meat, I would go with the stovetop process -- like the electric frying pan. Looks fantastic though for feeding a large family.

That looks awesome. I asked for a similar rice cooker/steamer from Christmas. I'll have to keep this one in mind as Baby gets older and is willing to actually eat more than just baby food!

Is it like a fancier, healthier crock pot. Looks cool. I am going to go see if it is still on sale.

Shell: I have some unsolicited advice. Encourage the kids to work at a restaurant. My 14 year old eats there on the weekends and gets paid woo hoo.
