Triple Threat Thursday

I'm tired and being really cheesy with my title, okay?
I felt like doing something lighter today, after all the pouring out of hearts yesterday, so I'm going to really quickly participate in three different memes.

Wait, don't run away! I promise it will still be a short a post.

By the way, if you didn't get a chance to read some of the posts from people who linked up for Pour Your Heart Out yesterday, be sure to check them out. Fabulous stuff!

*****
First up is Thank You Very Much with Kmama at The Daily Dribbles.

To the woman in Target yesterday who decided that her ONE toddler needed the three-kid shopping cart. Thank you very much.
You can't even justify it by saying that it's a fun cart, like a race car or something.
Nope, just a regular cart with that big attachment thing on it.
And, you needed to grab it as I was walking in with my THREE kids in tow.
Thank you very much.
You are lucky that the cart guy hunted down another one for me or I might have accidentally clipped your ankles with my cart.

****
Next is The Skew with Supahmommy & co. Their topic this week is Netiquette.
And they have a super cute button that I can't find right this second, but I'll put it
*HERE*
when I find it, because that is good netiquette.

Just one thing I want to say here, and this was brought up at Bloggy Bootcamp, too.

When you are leaving a comment on someone's blog, make it about their post, don't just say, "Come visit me at www. pleasegivememorefollowersandpageviews. com."

Because if you don't read someone's post, why should they come read yours?

And don't try to copy and paste "Great post! Come visit me at....."

Not that I always leave the best comments. I know, I totally suck sometimes.

But, I don't beg you to come visit me.

Not in a comment, anyway. ;)

I'm going to make an exception here, though. Some of you are new to my blog and I'd love to be able to go visit you, too, but I can't find you. So, in this case, PLEASE DO leave your url.

*****
Next up Top 3 Thursday with Confessions From a Working Mom and The (Un)Experienced Mom, who asked for your top 3 quirks.

3. I clap and dance and jump around like a giant dork when I'm happy or excited about something. Like I'm a cheerleader or something. No, I never was one.

2. I take certain words and overuse them to death. Like "fabulous" and "actually." Eventually, I stop using that word completely and laugh hysterically whenever I hear someone else say it because it reminds me of my overuse.

1. I laugh inappropriately all the time. Sometimes, I'll be thinking about something else entirely, or my mind will go off on a tangent, or I'll think how Hubs would make whatever is being talked about into something dirty, or I just don't know how else to react. So, I laugh.

Join in some of these fabulous memes!

OH MY GOD...I totally had a whole post about the Target lady one cart/triple cart thing. And there were two people pulling that nonsense with like elementary aged kids sitting in the cart not even the seat.

A$$HOLES!

Love you girl,

Yay! I'm so glad you triple dipped!!

I'm going to Target at lunchtime today. Why is it that there's always someone that pisses you off in that store??

I love that you found a way to get the comment thing in a post. YAY!!

Adn I'm totally cheering and mentally jumping up and down in my work chair. LOL Oh, I WAS a cheerleader!

First, how dare that woman take your buggy. Second, please tell me how the heck you get your kids to stay in it? I need more like a cage on wheels to contain my kids in a store. ;)

I think I still would have clipped her with my cart because I am a little passive aggressive like that!

My favorite are the bloggers who bitch on their blogs posts constantly how they never get any comments but they comment on everyone else's blog all the time yet I comment on pretty much every post they have and I am lucky if they bless me with their presence once a month?! Yep that pretty much does it for me!

I am an inappropriate laugher too! Although I laugh and then cry...talk about uncomfortable for everyone! :D

People are rude no matter where you go. That lady at Target's kid is the one you hear screaming through the entire store that you just want to rip the vocal chords out of!

I don't mind when new bloggers come and read my blog and leave a url because they are new. But usually they READ the blog before inviting you to read theirs. But I am with you on the people who just say please visit me.

Hi! Hope Pour Your Heart Out went well! I'm sooo swamped right now, but I'm going to try to get back and read some of the posts. I also plan to promote it in one of my blogs SOON! Just remind me if you don't see it up in the next few days ... it's very likely that my head will combust by tomorrow morning! :)

Love your triple threat...
I hate that with carts too. It drives me nuts when I walk into a store with 4-5 kids and one person w/ one child hogged up the stuff to control my children. All I have to say is, you better not complain when my kids are running around the store like maniacs.

I also don't like the "Nice Blog, come to mine posts". I don't give those people the time of day, even if they do follow. Not like they ever come back on my page and comment again.

How is it that when you find a good blog to read and like it but you don't follow it right away that you some how stumble upon it again? That is what I found with yours. Stumbled upon you last night on my home computer. Then again I found you through Elizabeth's Confessions of a Working Mom. Must be fate.
Laughing at your laughter! Love your Top 3 Thursday! Don't laugh at me. lol.

Holy crap ~ now I'm wondering if I've ever told you it was a nice blog or a great post. I think I have used those phrases before but since I tend to be a little wordy I know that I've probably just gone on to describe something in my life that compares to the post and end up hijacking their blog...kind of like now. Oops.
Now with great trepidation I say that my blog address changed and it's now www.arustysouthernbelle.com in case you want to ever stop by again. Hopefully. Possibly? I'll take out the Target lady for you. Seriously.

have a great day! Love the memes, especially the one about the dragon lady at target...i hate when rude people do things like that, makes me what to go all ninja on em...and the one about laughing at inappropriate times...I have done that several embarrasing (for others) times like in Church...or during a sappy movie...once just recently my son was praying and said something funny and i had to bite my lip so i wouldn't laugh...so embarrasing!

Lol! Aaaaaa!

Hey Shell! It's nice meeting you! I found your Top 3 link at the UnExperienced Mom. I totally agree with you on the comments comment. I love getting comments that sound like they're from my best friends. I try not to just leave generic comments like "That's Cute!" or "Great Pic". Just think about it if someone tells you a story or shows you a really cute pic in person, you can't just respond with 2 words. I like to think of my comments more like conversations. So, now that you got me as a follower, I hope you don't mind me rambling on and on. Look forward to getting to know you.

I might go overboard sometimes and write my own post in comments.

I was going to say come and visit me and leave my blog info as a joke but decided not to. So your telling me that people go to peoples blogs and say come over here and visit me? Why, so they can get hits for money? That is rude. I spend nearly 8 hrs a day reading and commenting. That is what this is all about, getting to know people. I like to comment to my comments too if I can. When you are a no-reply and I don't know you I will visit your blog. Otherwise I will try to remember to thank you for your comment when I am visiting with you. Okay, I'll step down off my soapbox!

You totally should have clipped her.

I agree with the netiquette. I attempt to make a real comment on everyone's blog I visit...mainly because it is my pet peeve. If I never see "Hi Stopping by from XXXX. Come visit me" I would be a happy gal! LAME. Other than on certain days (Saturday) when I am supposed to leave a comment, if I cannot find something to say, I'll come back later or look to an earlier post. What is the point in "Great post." I do sometimes include that line in my comment, but not as the comment. Only on Friday Follow do I ever say come visit me.

And the URL thing...I have ad a few Friday Follows that I cannot find...no email, no blog hooked up to their profile..UGH!

So, very sorry...did not mean to rant here. Great post :)

You did it! A fairly short post even though you participated in three memes. I've come to the conclusion that people are so self-focused that they don't think about anyone else or what their actions might do to another. So in the case of the woman at Target, she just grabbed a cart, not thinking about whether or not someone else could've used it better.

Please come see my blog at.... Hahaha. Just pulling your leg.
