Thank You Very Much

The Daily Dribbles

I had some rants that I wanted to get out and then I found Kmama's Thank You Very Much Thursday, so I'm linking up and getting some of my rantings out!

To my wonderful Hubs, who keeps telling me that we need to pack, but has yet to pack a single damn thing himself. Who thinks it's fine for me to pack when he isn't here, but who sits on his butt watching tv when I am not here instead of packing. That's ever so helpful. Thank you very much.

To Kate of J&K+8, who mentioned in her question show this week that there must be something really wrong with her if she was still wearing sweatpants and t-shirts. My wardrobe and I thank you very much.

Monkey, yes, I know my eyes looks weird and gross. It's called an allergy. Stop yelling that mom is really sick right as we are going into the preschool. Thank you very much.

Bear, Mommy's hair is already a disaster. So, playing with it and hanging on it is not necessary, okay? Thank you very much.

Seriously- since I published this post, Bear came up to me and used my ponytail to wipe his snotty nose. Thank you very much.

Oh, and Hubs, once again...I appreciate you helping out with the laundry by washing loads of clothes that contain just your clothes, but if there is something in the washer, the appropriate thing to do with that is to but it in the dryer, not to throw wet clothes into a laundry basket in the basement and let them sit there and mildew. Thank you very much.

I could probably go on all day long, but our big move is this weekend and we are nowhere near packed yet. I'm sure the move will inspire a whole list of things to be thankful for.

I generally like Kate, and I watched that interview, too. I think I liked her just a *little bit* more, though, when we wore the same uniform. I'm still in the sweatpants and T shirt I slept in. And that I wore yesterday. :/

Oh my gosh - my husband would have been in so much trouble if he messed with laundry like that, LOL. And yeah - kids are gross with their snotty noses (my mom stopped yesterday, just to realize that my little one was WIPING HIS NOSE ON HER BUTT - yeah...)

Had me laughing - thanks and nice to meet you!

But then here he sits watching TV while WE get all those things done. Wow I guess this really bothers me also.

rachel, I was still in my sweats from yesterday until about a half hour ago, when I had to take my oldest to preschool.

Rachel, that is hilarious! Snot stories are funny when they are happening to someone else!

Steven, thanks for the apology. :)

And everyone is so crazy right now about germs, I feel like making a sign for myself that says that I have allergies and one for Monkey, too, who is constantly sniffling b/c of them. That child does not get sick, ever. It's allergies, people!

YES, we need a WE shirt. So true.

My husband says all the time, "We need to do...". I look at him and say, "I don't need to do anything, but you're welcome to do that by yourself if you want." He gets so pissed, but I really hate being volunteered for crap.

Oh and the laundry thing would have ticked me off royally.

Good luck moving, I hope it goes perfectly!

That's hysterical! I can SO see my husband putting ONLY his clothes in the laundry. Must be a man thing? I wonder how they would react if we only did OUR clothes? Well, and the kids of course. We can't blame them, YET!

As far as the packing goes. When we found out we were moving to China, we had 5 weeks. To. The. Day. And that first week we were on vacation. Kind of hard to pack if you aren't even home!!! Anyway, when we left to get on the plane, we had 10 suitcases, 5 carryons, 1 stroller, 1 carseat, and 1 purse. Ask me how much of that he packed! He put them on the scale to weigh them and make sure they didn't go over, and he took out stuff that he didn't think we needed. (I STILL can't find detangler for my daughter's hair)! But to actually PACK anything, not so much! MEN!

Isn't this therapy fun! My husband would have been grounded for life if he DID anything with the laundry. That is one thing that only I do!
