Tickled Pink: Things You'll Love, Too!

I'm Tickled Pink to play along with Holly at 504 Main. I love the chance to show you things I love around the blogosphere, but without an award that then obligates makes someone feel guilty for not posting on their blog. This is just pure love of these things and people I've come across and I want to share them with you!

504 Main

I'm tickled pink at being a P.O.S. blogger! Ash at Shades of Blue and Green came up with this concept and some adorable buttons for it.

What is P.O.S.? It's not what you think! It's "Prisoner of Summer." We all will be busy in the summer: kids home from school, vacations, just busy, busy, busy. But, instead of posting excuses for this on your blog, just grab one of her buttons for your blog and we'll all understand!

These are my favorite two, but you can head over to her blog to check out the rest of them!

Shades of Blue and Green

Shades of Blue and Green

I'm Tickled Pink by a blogger who always draws me in to her stories. JoAnn at Laundry Hurts My Feelings. Damn, can she write.

And, she's taking the plunge and is going to submit the novel that has been sitting in her computer. Yes, yes, you are going to find a way to do it, JoAnn.

You know that unspoken rule in the blogworld that you need to keep your posts on the shorter side or you'll lose your readers? Well, JoAnn could write on and on and I would keep reading. Because she's that good!

If you click this link, you'll be taken to a post that's on her list of favs- I always love to see what a blogger considers to be her favs. Or, you can click her button below to see her latest post. But, either way, this is a blog that you should be following. You'll LOVE her.

Laundry Hurts My Feelings

I'm Tickled Pink by this post by Rose at We Live in a ZOO! A must-read for anyone who has ever thought about quitting blogging.

Finally, I'm Tickled Pink by Alex at Ma, What's For Dinner? We "met" through SITS several months back and discovered that we both have three boys all close in age and that we have many bizarre things in common. It's like we were living parallel lives.  Seriously, Alex, the house beside me is for sale.

I've found my go-to recipes from her site, like my go-to potluck-moms-event Cheesy Pear Tart and my go-to company-is-coming dinner Succulent Salmon- I wait until the guests have turned their backs and then I use my fingers to lick up all the leftover dressing on my plate. And because she's such a great friend, she tells me to go ahead and take the credit when I make these dishes for other people. Love ya, girl!

She has a book that just came out and this week, she's busy shooting a pilot based on that book. Is that not the coolest thing ever? And if it is picked up, she's so letting me be on the show. Ah-ahem. Total lie. But, a girl can dream.

I have a guest post over there today, since she's busy with her pilot right now. Seriously, Alex, that sounds so freaking cool.

Anyway, you can hop on over there and check out her recipes and read my post, too!

why do we apologize when we don't write? That's a valid point. I am going to stop doing that.

Those little POS buttons are grand! If I could combine Mexico and Valium I'd be practically perfect in every way....*sigh*....

Love this concept and a great way to end out the week.

JoAnn should TOTALLY submit the novel. Even though I'm short on blog time I always read all of her posts....she is a phenomenal writer and I her personality is just awesome....I want to be like her when I grow up.

Happy Friday Shell

Oh my girl.

My week here of self imposed writer isolation has been so fulfilling, but what has sent me to the moon and back is the unexpected support I've gotten from all of you. I am moved and I've been weepy all week, (weepy in a good way), from all the beautiful comments and emails and love, just plain love being sent my way.

Thank you from the absolute bottom of my heart. I truly mean it when I say this means the world to me.

And FYI, one of my bloggy friends emailed me this week to see how things were going and we both ended up talking about how much we love YOU.

Thank you for this huge shout out. I am humbled and incredibly honored by our kind words.

And I am happy to say, I have almost accomplished my goal for the week, writing that query letter. I'll be back next week. I can't stay away any longer. I miss you all too much!

Thank you again, Shell. XXXXXOOOOO

I recently found JoAnn's site and love swinging by there!!

The POS buttons are a riot. I will have to take advantage of that at some point. I just got back from a brief bloggy break myself and I realized that maybe I should cut myself a break every once and a while. I mean, really- when it comes down to it, it's only a blog. I can miss a day here and there- Sheesh!
