Getting to Know You and a Minute

Look at me, posting something that isn't a giveaway or review on a weekend! Btw, that's what you'll usually see here during the summer: weekends are going to be for giveaways and reviews or for taking a break. Usually. Totally breaking that right now to participate in some Q&A's.

Getting to know YOU

1. If a person has a booger in their nose. and you can see it, do you tell them?
If I know and like them, yes. Otherwise, I'll just be grossed out and walk away. If you are ever in a group of people with me and I am obssessively rubbing at my nose, please imitate me because I'm probably trying to tell you that you have a booger hanging there, without announcing it to the group.

2. What are you passionate about?
My family. Hard to describe just how much I love my husband and my boys.

3. How long have you been blogging?
On my family blog(it's boring, you don't want to read it) for about 2 years. This one has been around for over a year or so, but I started blogging on here reguarly back in September.

4. What is your favorite "summer" drink?
Lemonade. Or, if I want something with a little kick, add Sweet Tea Vodka to lemonade.

5. What is your favorite type of music?
I'm a country girl. I so need some cute pink boots and to find my pink cowboy hat- hopefully Hubs is taking me to at least one concert this summer.

6. Something I do before I go to bed is......?
Check on my little guys right before I go to sleep.

7. My Summer vacation plans are...?
We lived on the beach all winter, so that seemed like our vacation....

8. My favorite must have, can't live without, beauty product is?
Stila tinted moisturizer

I know it's not Monday. You know I never do anything on the right day.

Monday Minute

For Monday Minute this week, Ian gave us some questions to ask our kids. I'm not playing favorites by just interviewing Bear, my 4 year-old. But, Monkey refused to answer and Cub just laughs at me when I try to ask him things like this- I can just see him thinking "Hey Mommy, want me to answer a question? Ask me if I want ice cream."

What's your favorite book/story? Curious George

What do you want to do when you grow up? a firefighter

What is your favorite game? Froggy trampoline game(Leaping Frogs)

What's your favorite food? chocolate

Insert your own question to ask your kid: Where do you wish we could go right now? The bouncy place

The bouncy place does sound like fun!

It really would be hard to tell a stranger they have a stray boog. I wish I could, but I don't know.

Sweet tea vodka and lemonade...yummmmmmm! :)

I need new boots!

When you come home for a visit...maybe there'll be a good show in town we can go to! I can waddle to, of course.

Happy Sunday!

Love that he loves Curious George. :)

I'll never understand how someone can be talking to a person with a booger/spinach/hair/pepper hanging out of their nose/mouth/ear/? and they won't tell them.

I try to tell people as gently yet casually as possible so as not to try attention to it, but to also try and spare them the embarrassment.

And if I learn I've been the victim of this crime, I immediately lash out at whoever I'm with and chide them for not telling me. And I always hear the same answer-

"What? Oh, I totally didn't notice!"

Bullshit, people. Bullshit.

Never heard of Sweet Tea Vodka, but it sounds yummy - especially with Lemonade .....mmmmm

Same booger policy here, too!

Ha Ha I totally agree with Sara..but I admit, I'm guilty of not knowing quite how to say it at least once or twice. Usually I'll just say it because they are gonna figure it out eventually, and I don't want to be responsible for having someone look back on what was otherwise a perfectly good day horror thinking "oh my god, was it there when I was talking to that cute guy?" But what about bad breath? I always get myself a piece of gum and offer it up, but if they refuse.......

I LOVE THE BOUNCY PLACE TOO!!!

I used to listen to country music back when I was in junior high. I did it because Christians girls did not listen to Hip Hop and the other genres.

Seems like we do the same thing before we go to bed...check on our kids!

Also love the little interview with your 4 year old. Too cute. It would be fun to repeat it every so often to see how their answers change over time!

I asked Buddy the questions for tomorrow's Monday Minute and was hoping for something fun, but he was pretty boring with his answers.

My family blog was boring too, I shut it down and figured my family can just read about my craziness on my fun blog!

Lemonade just reminds me so much of summer! Love it!

My kid wants to be a firefighter too, I video taped her answers and will be posting it tomorrow!

Wish you could come over and sit on the deck and have a slushie with me!

Sweet Bear... A bouncy place by you or me? And we do know how much he loves his chocolate... and how it isn't as nice to him!

We went to the ER with a broken arm last year after we played at the bouncy place. Kinda ruined the fun... at least for me. I don't care for going back, but the boys would go in a second if I agreed to it.

The lemonade drink sounds really yummy. :)

My boys wake up the second I enter their rooms. I don't know what it is (I don't think I walk like an elephant)but they do. I haven't been able to kiss them when they are sleeping since they were little babies. I hope I get to again soon.

My oldest says bouncy place all the time when I ask him what he wants to do.
