If I think too hard about the image I ...Oh Sherri.<br /><br />If I think too hard about the image I still have in my head of my youngest, my little girl, skipping across the playground to start kindergarten (her blonde hair in pigtails, her brand new shoes that seemed impossibly small for a child in elementary school) I will cry.<br /><br />She was so ready. Her brother had gone the year before.<br /><br />She knew the ropes.<br /><br />All thirty pounds of her. Soaking wet. Maybe.<br /><br />And now she is starting 7th grade. How is that possible? I realize now (what I didn't know then) that she will be gone before I can say "SAT prep class."<br /><br />I feel like my parents couldn't WAIT to get rid of me. But maybe I was wrong.
